Housing Advocate
Responsible for Case Management and advocacy for the Grand Junction Housing Authority Family Unification Program participants. Home visits and extensive family contact is essential to the program’s success. FTE, occasional evening or weekend hours required. Will mediate disputes between families, landlords and other service providers. Successful candidates will have family case management experience, excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to work in a team environment, and the ability to work in fast paced, often reactive situations. Mediation skills, knowledge of area resources, bi-lingual and experience with rental/leasing practices preferred. Requires a bachelor’s degree and/or two years related experience.
